The Safari was made in 1969 and is one of the most unusal Mystic Line games Bally made. Made after the Venice, Orient, and the London, the Safari has all the great features of the best Mystic Line games. AND in addition has "The Animal Feature" as a separate game. Painted as a jungle theme, one has to admire the beautiful art work on the game and playfield. The "Animal Feature" is coined up by a white button and can be played independently or with the regular game. The lowest odds were lion country, the middle row was rhino country, and the highest odds was giraffe country. These odds were lit in the "odds tower" to the right of the Mystic Lines. To the right of the "odds tower" is a verticle column of lights that has lions, rhinos, and giraffes placed along the column. If after shooting all 5 balls an animal was lit you won replays that corresponded to to the lit odds. 15 of the 20 holes were numbered with 1 up, 2 up, 3 up, 1 down, 2 down, and 3 down. These holes moved the lights up and down the animal feature column. I have to say that this feature will drive you crazy.

This Safari was restored for Dr. Jim Rubinsak of south Florida.
